Certificate Authority Authorization (CAA)

Table of contents

Certificate Authority Authorization (CAA) is a DNS resource record that helps manage SSL certificates for your domain. It allows domain owners to specify which certificate authorities (CAs) are permitted to issue SSL certificates for their domain. This helps to prevent unauthorized issuance of certificates and enhances the security of your site. More details

To ensure secure SSL certificate issuance for your Plate site, you need to configure a CAA record that at least includes Let's Encrypt. An example CAA record looks like this:

yoursite.com CAA 0 issue "letsencrypt.org"

Note that CAA records are managed through your domain's DNS settings and are not configured within Plate. Please contact your DNS provider or refer to their documentation for instructions on setting up CAA records.
